Clearscribe Theatre Favourites allows for pre-programmed standardised packages, for post operative protocols, to be readily printed onto self adhesive labels.
This includes a comprehensive list of post operative packages such as anti-emetic, anti- microbial or anti - embolic medication protocols after a total hip replacement, that can be readily accessed and instantly printed at the touch of a button.
These post operative packages can be periodically reviewed and refined by physicians to ensure the patient is always prescribed the most current and effective medications available.
Indications for use when prescribing antimicrobials and PRN medications can be pre- programmed into the Clearscribe Theatre Favourites module. This ensures best practice and improves patient safety.
The time of prescribing a medication, unachievable with the pen, can be useful for medication with a short time lag (for example anti-microbials) that need to start as soon as possible. This data can be used to further enhance medication safety use, by tackling any lag time, making the administration of the patient medication, within a more concise regulated time frame, much more achievable.
